ABOUT ME

My writing career started the day my grade school teacher, a nun, told my mother I wasn’t mature enough to write the assignment I’d turned in.

When I look back, I must’ve been a storytelling from the beginning.

Raised in a large family, if you wanted peace, a sense of privacy, you went somewhere within yourself, creating a story to escape. I'n my dreams I'd travel, do great things. It was if I was already there.

In college, I worked as whitewater river guide. I told stories to entertain customers. I submitted editorials to the school newspaper and local newspapers. And to my dismay, they were published.

When my children were born, I played a bedtime game with them. They’d start their story with one sentence, and I’d complete the rest with an imaginary tale that easily put them to sleep.

The decision to write my first novel came after I asked myself this simple question. What am I most passionate about?

I’ve always felt an endless urge to write, tell a story. So, I started and haven’t stopped.
